Divorce Support Group

Ending a marriage is a time of heightened emotions. Even in the most amicable cases, there are experiences that we often feel unprepared to manage. Some of these include an adjustment to the new configuration of the family, our new sense of Self, confusion that results from splitting, and displaced emotions…

Westport Family Counseling offers a weekly Divorce Support Group on Wednesdays at noon to process the issues around divorce with others going through similar change.

The group offers an open and engaging forum to:

  • Get support from peers
  • Bolster your self-esteem
  • Get help with co-parenting
  • Learn coping skills that are specific to being a single parent
  • Talk about new family dynamics
  • Re-discover your interests and identity
  • Re-build your family life
  • Explore being single in this age of social media

The Group meets weekly on Wednesdays, from 12-1pm at Westport Family Counseling. The Group is facilitated by Betsi Mufson, LMSW

For more information or to register for the group, please contact Betsi at (203) 227-4555 ext. 5 or B.Mufson@Wfcmail.org
